SCA has 52,000 employees in some 60 countries and annual sales in 2008 amounted to EUR 11.5bn (11.4). Share of sales by business area in 2008: Personal Care 21%, Tissue 34%, Packaging 30% and Forest Products 15%.
SCA's marketEurope is the main market, but the Group also holds strong positions in North America, Latin America, Asia and Australasia. Expansion takes place through growth and acquisitions, primarily within personal care and tissue. SCA's business areas
Personal Care comprises three product segments: incontinence care, baby diapers and feminine care. Important consumer brands are TENA, Libero and Libresse.
Tissue consists of toilet paper, kitchen rolls, handkerchiefs and napkins as well as complete hygiene solutions. Some of the brands are Tork, Tempo, Zewa and Edet.
Packaging offers containerboard and packaging like transport packaging, protective packaging, consumer and point-of-sales packaging as well as services.
Forest Products produces publication papers, pulp and solid-wood products.
The environment
SCA products are produced nearly exclusively from renewable and recyclable materials. Equal quantities of recycled and fresh woodfibres are used in production.
